How to find the version of Windows running on your device?
To find the version of Windows running on your device, do the following:
For Windows 10 editions
Step 1: Type about in the search box on your taskbar, and then select About your PC.
Step 2: Look below PC for Edition to find out the version and edition of Windows that your PC is running. Check under PC for System type to confirm if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
For Windows 7 editions
Step 1: Click on Start.
Step 2: Right-click on Computer on the right and select Properties.
Step 3: Look below the Windows edition title to identify the version of your device. Check System type under the System section to confirm if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
For Windows 8 editions
Step 1: Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings. (If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, hover the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings).
Step 2: Tap or click PC and devices, and then tap or click PC info.
Step 3: You can find the version and edition of Windows that your PC is running under the Windows heading. Look under the Rename PC section for the System type to see if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
