How to setup IKEv2 VPN on Windows 7 – step-by-step guide

Open “Control Panel”

Open “Network and Sharing Center” from the “Control Panel”.

Click on “Set up a new connection or Network”.

Click on “Connect to a workplace” and click “Next”.

Click on “Use my Internet connection (VPN)”.

In the Internet address, enter any one of the server mentioned under http://network.limevpn.com/

In “Destination name” field type “LimeVPN”.

Also check the “Don’t connect now” just set it up so I can connect later”.

Click “Next”.

Enter your VPN username and password. Make sure you use your VPN username and password and NOT the client area credentials.

Click “Create” 

Click the “Close” button.

Open “Network and Sharing Center” from the “Control Panel”.

Click on “Connect to a network”.

In the “Connect to a network” screen, you will see the “LimeVPN” connection that you have just set up. Right click on it and select “Properties”.

Click on “Security” Tab.

In the “Type of VPN” list select “IKEv2″ then click on the “OK”.

Open “Network and Sharing Center” from the “Control Panel”.

Click on “Connect to a network”.

In the “Connect to a network” screen, you will see the “LimeVPN” connection that you have just set up. Right click on it and select “connect/disconnect.” options  to establish/revoke VPN connection.
