Server speed is variable based on several different factors including: your location, your internet speed, internet connectivity between our server and your ISP, the location of the site you want to visit, the VPN protocol you choose to use, and what routes you or the server takes to the content you’ve requested.

While this isn’t always possible, in general, it is always best to connect to a server that is close to you AND close to your destination.

You can try connecting to different locations with different VPN protocols, L2TP, OpenVPN and SoftEther with different TCP and UDP ports in order to optimize your speed. You can set up manually following our setup tutorials for different VPN protocols or use our VPN client software.

If you find your connection is not optimal on one server, first try other protocols, L2TP, OpenVPN (both TCP and UDP mode with different ports) and SoftEther to connect, as this may be a better solution for you. You can also try our second, third, fourth servers located in same location and also different cities and countries as this offers redundancy, as well as different routing optimization, speed and/or latency.
